The latest issue of Eye Health Research Review was published in February 2026. In this issue, a fascinating article describes inherited and de novo pathogenic variants in RNU4-2 and four paralogs of RNU6 which may explain cases of genetically undiagnosed autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa (ADRP).

You can find the pdf here, and if you like to subscribe, please click here.

Some of the other highlights in this review include:

  • Foundation models vs. physicians in written ophthalmology exams
  • RPGR variants associated with X-linked cone dystrophy in females
  • Glaucoma and dementia

I hope you find these and the other selected studies interesting and of clinical value and look forward to bringing you more exciting updates throughout 2026.
